Thread: Back Pain

  1. #1

    Default Back Pain

I was in a minor motorcycle accident on Saturday. I stopped at a red light and did not realize I was on an oil slick on the road until I excelled when the light turned green and my motorcycle slipped and I fell and my motorcycle fell on top of me. I have minor injuries. No one else got hurt as I fell toward the curb and not in the middle of the road luckily.

I have left sided back pain that radiates down my left leg and left arm pain. I also have a small bruise on my knee. Could I possibly hurt my nerves or muscles from my back down to my leg? I walk stiff cause my back hurts when I walk at times. I notice it more when I lay down. It hurts alot when I lay flat in bed or if I lay on my left side, it really hurts.

Thank you for replying. Is it too late to see a dr? I notice the left side of my back hurts when I lay on it and when I stand up for long periods of time. It si still a little swollen on my left side. Is that a muscle?

I still have left back pain and shoulder pain and now I have spasms in both areas. Are those muscles I may have hurt?

    Cassie,

Fall injuries can range from the minor to the significantly serious and untill you're properly evaluated you won't know what is going on with your particularly injury. Pain is always cause for concern - especially so when you are unsure as to the cause. Rather than consult this forum further I strongly suggest you attend a doctor at your closest convenience - even if it's just getting in to see a GP who may then refer you to imaging. It's certainly not too late to consult a medical professional - it's never too late, really, particularly when you're experiencing uncomfortable symptoms. Go see a doctor or a musculoskeletal practitioner like a musculoskeletal physio.

    Good luck!
