Greetings and thank you for reading my post.
Last Monday, while walking my dog, I caught an uneven part of the sidewalk and tore my ankle up pretty bad. It looked like I had a tennis ball attached to the side of it by the time it swelled up. The next day found it to be completely bruised and swollen. I could walk on it, but moved very slowly and it hurt after a short time.
It has now been a week. It is still swollen, though not as much as it was.
The bruising extends all the way into my toes now.
The part that is bothering me, now, is the swelling on the TOP of my foot.
It's also hurting somewhat today. Not while walking, but rather while I am sitting at my desk.
I also feel it tingling a bit is and then.
I am debating on whether or not to go see a doctor about it now or give it another week.
Any thoughts?
i have the same pain did you get an xray for it might be minor fracture or just an twisted pain it mai if its healing then you might have had fracture in it go to the concern doc and get it checked before it is too late
Don't delay, please visit the expert as soon as possible. As it is still swelling, do not take any risk.
It's been quite an adventure since doing this!
About a month after (may 14th) I ended up rupturing my Achilles' tendon on that same leg.
My doctor said there is no way to tell for sure, but I am fairly certain that me not letting the ankle heal completely had something to do with it.
Please, everyone out there, be safe! Take your time with healing! And also, stretch and warn up before doing activities!!
