hey everyone,
A while ago now i was playing squash and i sprained my able when i did it i kinda heard a tear and felt it. after thinking it was just some sprain i got it scanned last week, and the doctor said i need surgery i have a complete disruption of my anterior talofibular and calcaneofibular ligaments with granulation tissue at the site of the disrupted ligament. i have read this is a common injury, has anyone had the surgery due before?is it just key hole type surgery?...how ever since last fridy the pain has gone a bit and ankle has sort of gone down do you recon i need the surgery or can i just stretch it or something? any help would be great thanks in advance
rizz
there is limited benefit in going for a surgery. I went through the exact same injury. The ligament never grows back, even after surgery.
