Wallaby loose forward Stephen Hoiles will make his long awaited comeback from a knee injury in Saturday's opening trial of the season against the Brumbies in Wollongong.
Hoiles has been named vice-captain of the run-on side which is captained by Shaun Berne.
"It's been a long road (6 months) since injuring my knee at Coffs Harbour last year but I'm feeling good and ready to go," said Holies.
"I've missed a lot of Rugby so I'm eager to get involved on Saturday."
Head coach Ewen McKenzie named a squad of 26 players for the trial.
"There'll be pretty much two different teams running out in this match," said McKenzie.
"This opening trial is a mixture of Super 14, Academy and rested Wallaby players so it's going to give us a good idea of where we're placed."
