Hip Dislocation

About 6 weeks ago I suffered a dislocated hip during a rugby union match.The dislocation was treated by closed reduction approx 4 hrs later.However the next day a fracture in the femoral head was detected on an MRI scan.The fracture was treated through surgery and the insertion of 3 pins.I am led to believe this is an extremely rare injury and as such can find little consensus on whether a return to rugby is possible or just being silly.Just wondering if anyone has any experience with this type of injury.Any advice or opinions would be much welcomed.

If I was you I'd go to see a good sports physician to seek out some advice. Whereabouts are you located ?

If you're in Sydney John Best is good with rugby injuries. David Hughes in Canberra is also very good. In Melbourne there are some really good sports physicians. Let me know if you need their names.
