Karen: I haven't seen Mamma Mia yet. My showing was post-poned. Looking forward to it though.
Sorry I don't have Facebook. If you talk to Rooster tell her "hello" from Smitty.

Starting to walk without the crutches in the boot. It is going extemely well. I don't get too far and I am pretty sore at night but it is going better than expected.

Yesterday I got to meet with my client that just broke both leg bones a week before my left surgery. She is such a little fighter. She is doing well. She is still planning on playing college ball this Fall. She has a long road ahead of her but if anyone can do it, it is this gal. She is 18 and she is such an inspiration to me.

    Gotta run.... well almost...................but soon!

Smitty : cant believe you are walking a little with a boot ... treatments seem to vary so much depending on which country you live in ; ive had no mention of a boot and dont think Fee has one either . I go next Tues so by then it would be six and a half weeks post surgery and he did mention he might remove the cast ... bit daunting with nothing on foot all of a sudden ,but Fees doing well like that so im sure it'll be ok .
I must apologise for all errors i keep seeing on my posts ... think my heads mushed up with not working for so long !!
take care gang hope you're all ok

Karen: Different protocols are frustrating to me. I wish there was one agreed upon way to treat this injury but there certainly isn't. I am really thankful that things are moving along. Three Achilles surgeries in 2 1/2 years equals a lot of time on the keester. I know it could be worse so I feel guilty even saying that. Does anybody else ever feel guilty about complaining about this? Seems like every time I do I see a little guy at the store with only one leg or I hear of another friend who was diagnosed with cancer or MS. Then I feel like an idiot for being down sometimes.

We saw the movie Amazing Grace the other day. That was a great movie. We also went to the theater and saw Coraline. That was the best 3-D movie I have seen. Technology has come a long way.

    How is everyone feeling?

Default re-tear of stitches for achilles tendon?

    Hi all,

can anyone help me out. i had achilles tendon surgery on jan 13 to repair a partial tear. all is going well with rehab. but the other day i tried to do some toe raises standing up and it felt weird afterwards. i have no swelling or pain what so ever. maybe i am mental here but i feel like i tore something inside.

    any input?

Libero: Everybody has such varying descriptions of how it feel to tear or re-tear. My suggestion would be to go back to your doctor and have them check on you for sure. The worry will kill you. I would be surprised if you re-tore. You may have just knocked loose some scar tissue but I would still go get checked just to be sure.

Kirkton, Rooster, Fee, Karen, has everybody abandoned me?

Hopefully this means everyone is feeling better.

HI to All.....how is everyone progressing???

I am on my last week of physio because I am going back to Scotland for a few months....however I am very happy with the way things have progressed although I still have a way to go before I can kick a ball again :-)....Just to remind you, I injured myself last June, operated on in Sept and finally I am walking about pretty good....so remember it takes time but you will all get there.....

Smitty I have not forgotten you. I am just not great at writing....but i did notice that you are quite mobile so I am sure you are going to have a gr8 summer this year :-).....oh btw I saw Mama Mia on stage and it was fantastic...one of the best shows I have ever seen.....also if you are in Vegas and you like the Beatles, the show on at the Mirage {LOVE} is brilliant....

take care and remember to do your stretches :-)

    Hi gang ,
well the cast is now off but like Fee said before you feel very very vulnerable !! Phyio again Thursday so i'll just go from there . Just dangled the said leg under the shower and de haired , exfolliated etc ; the 3 scar areas feel very tight and numb but actually dont look bad at all ! Guess this is where the hard work starts hey . Just received a book and dvd for Yoga for beginners so im going to be busy reading through that and as soon as poss i want to start doing a bit , ive also decided to go on and become a reiki master so im reading up more on that before i go and do that .... so its all good and something to occupy my time ! Met a woman at the hospital today who 'd had both hips replaced . both knees replaced and been in a full body cast for 3 months too .... now that gets you thinking it aint that bad ... poor lady !!
Kirkton youve done great and im sure we all will too in our own good time
    take care everyone kaz xxxxx
