You may have noticed that this Forum has been changed from NRL to Rugby league injury forum. Unfortunately that will mean all old threads won't show up as easily in Google/Yahoo etc. The upside is that automatic spam (which this forum was attracting in particular) might stop appearing.
It is inevitable that eventually we will move to having a 24 hour delay between registering and posting (along with new members needing to give a brief description of why they want to join the injuryupdate Forums), because of the high number of spam posters.
Therefore if you browse these forums regularly but are not yet a member, please sign up soon as eventually the process may be a lot more difficult, courtesy of our 'friends' in Russia etc. who love to post spam every night.

That is a great way to stop spam because most of the spammers post one spam post and never come back. And also, most of the spam tends to get posted in this part of the injury update forum.
This hasn't worked, although we get rid of spam fairly quickly on this Forum. Eventually we are going to have to go with a pre-register system, which will be a pain for genuine users. However, when Spam gets bad enough we'll be forced.

I've changed this again but deleted the NRL videos post with a huge number of views. I think this may eliminate the robot spammers but we'll see.

Keep spamming and we will just make it harder to post.
