    Default Chronic calf cramps

A 30 yo prfessional rugby player complains of bilateral calf cramps about 60 inutes into the game and is usually substituted as they progressively worsen. This has been a feature of his last 3 games although he previously had problems at the start of last season. He is of Pacific Island heritage and plays in the centres, wears orthotics (has done for a while) and has no other major pathologies. He is always well hydrated and we have tried quinine sulphate pre-game for 1-2 days. Any management ideas or investigations?

I starting to like this forum. Now if Tiger Woods can say out of trouble maybe I will get some work done.
