    Default L1 compression fracture

    I recieved an L1 compression fracture the end of Feb 2008 riding on the back of a snowmachine going over a bump. I am still in a lot of pain in lower back,now the hips and buttocks. I am still having difficulty walking ,sitting, even showering or getting dressed. This is now 5 months. I am curiuos to know if anyone else has had this fracture and how long this is going to go on, or what they experienced in long term. I seem to be getting worst this past month compared to the month before I thought I may be getting better. I have had 2 exrays an MRI , bone density to check for Osterioprois. I am a 50 year old woman. I get so frustrated, depressed that I can still not do anything. I keep trying but the pain is so unbearable. I am finding I am getting irratible, and moody compared to what I was even a month ago.

    Carmestic,
    With pain/fracture, surrounding muscles often go into a protective spasm. Providing that your recent XR and MRI are free of nerve compression, chronic muscle spasm and some good massage may provide you with relief. Keep us updated.

    Hi!I am a 25 years old woman who suffered from a car accident 1 year ago;
    I had a spine Fracture - L1 with a migration of a fragment within the spinal canal and was advised to stay in bed for 2 months; I had no back pains until two weeks ago after I carried some heavy luggage. Now my back hurts and sometimes my right foot. I have no difficulties in walking but I sometimes have severe back pains. What happened? Should I be worried about this? What should I do?
    Thank you.

    Rachel
