    Default Ruptured Long Head Bicep and instability!

    Has anyone had their Long HEad Biceps rupture repaired???? I have had this for 6yrs now with huge joint instability and impingment and told i need the surgery but due to knee recon coming up, its been put off again!! HOw long is recovery and want was end result?? PLus any gd shoulder focused surgeons in SA???? I heard Nicolas Warwick is gd?? He is down for mine in the public system but is a private surgeon too. ANy comments or suggestions??? CHeers

    WIth 6 years of an unattached bicep, it would be atrophied (wasted away) terribly and the tendon incredibly shortened. Your recovery will be heaps harder than anyone that has had a recent rupture as there is no muscle bulk and a hell of a lot of stretching to reconnect the tendon.
