Wow Kate - I've never heard you sound so good! That's just so great to hear how well you are doing, and will give a lot of people in the early stages of recovery some hope that they can get back to enjoying life too.
Congratulations on the 10 mile hike - truly amazing!! I'm very impressed that you are achieving the goals you set out for yourself, and you should be very proud of yourself for getting there. Maybe you'll have to do your 5k run in secret so that hubby won't disapprove! I think that only us hippies can understand that you want to do it - just once - to prove that it is possible for you to do it, and to finally put an end to this hip business.
I'll put an update on the other thread!
Big hugs Kate - so pleased for you!!!!

Still pretty amazed at how much I can do....Race for Life, the last of this years goals is entered for Sun 29th July...gulp!! Really want to run it all, will update afterwards whether I manage it or not, please all keep your fingers crossed for me......
Hi Kate,
Great to hear that you are doing so well! I hope that your right hip keeps going for as long as possible before the OA pain really kicks in. I will think of you on the 29th, and look forward to reading about it! I'm sure you'll do it, even if you have to walk a little bit of it.
I'll update on my thread now, as I feel so guilty for not posting for so long!
Fingers crossed for you!!
Will have everything crossed for you sweetie, so pleased everything is going so well <3

Thanks for all the good wishes, they obviously worked....ran it all in a time of 29.39. Mega pleased with myself and also raised a decent amount for cancer research...next goal 10k !![]()
Only downside is I really dont feel like a hippie anymore, so (barring any disasters) will close this thread now on such a positive end and hope it serves to encourage others who are diagnosed with dysplsia in the future.
Will still be keeping an eye out on everybodies progress from time to time though so please dont think you're going to get rid of me that easily
Love you all and the support you have given me.

Kate - you are amazing!!!
That is such a massive achievement for you, and what a fantastic time too!
It's so great that you set yourself some goals, and you've completed all of them. Good luck for the 10K!
