    A quick update ...

I didn't use my crutches today woohoo! I walked to the bus stop and around uni without them, albeit slow and rather limpy, but I did it woohoo! My hip aches a lot, and is fairly uncomfortable, did have to reach for the painkillers half way through the day, but progress. I find if I stand instead of sit for too long I am in much less discomfort. So fingers crossed when the screws are removed tuesday, I will be able to sit better too.

    Brilliant Sam!

Let?s hope once those screws are removed that the injection has settled the other inflammation once and for all and you are pain free. I am so pleased for you!

Quick Update - had my screws removed today, all went fine, got a ball of local anaesthetic attached to a drip in my hip/trochanter to help with pain relief. feeling sore but ok, though now trying to check emails am getting a bit dizzy, so think I should have a lie down. xxx

Glad it went okay Sam and hope the pain settles enough for revision/your exams. Get a good nights sleep and stay away from the pc for 24 hours ? it always makes me feel worse after an anaesthetic.

Just pulled my painbuster line out, was fine, though now bleeding oops. Also went into hospital today, shouldn't have, got sent to A and E as my cannula site is all inflamed, red and hot, so now on fluclox as possibly developping cellulitis ... Not a happy bunny, feeling sorry for myself and slightly annoyed that I have never had a problem before and get one 4 days before my exams!! xx

Sorry to hear you had to go to hospital Sam. I never did and the cannula site is only just settling so probably should have. I hope this settles soon ? do you need to write for your exams or are they oral?

Take care and take small breaks to relax ? I remember doing my accountancy exams and I went off for the odd hour and did something to totally chill out (usually went swimming!) and it did the trick although it sounds like you are an old hand at exams and certainly don?t need my advice.

    Take care.
