Just popping in whilst on hols to see what's happening - brilliant news Janet that you've got a date (same day as my follow up 6 months post scope appointment!) - at least you have an end in sight and can plan from there. Glad to hear work are being sensible too - that makes such a difference.

Fantastic news Janet ? so pleased for you. Work sound like they are being great too.

Carolan ? I think you will find using one crutch really easy. I did at my six week check up and never went back to two. This was my surgeons protocol BUT what I am saying is that if you are happy taking a crutch (or possibly by then a stick) you will be fine.

Thanks girls! Am a bit nervous now, and have my list of questions ready, so just hope I don't chicken out and not ask everything. We're going to go for lunch at the 'Blue Bar' after my appointment, but I'll post the details when I get home in the afternoon.

    Yikes! Am scared!

Hey don't be scared, just make sure you ask EVERYTHING thats on your list. I always get there and think somethings not relevant at that time so don't bother and then regret it later.

Yep I was scared too when I saw Mr Norton. I had a long list of questions and I also detailed my symptoms on the list. He wanted to know all the details (thank goodness) which meant that he picked up on ALL the issues going on and assumed nothing from one symptom. He laughed when he saw my typed notes but listened carefully and then talked to me. He answered 90% of the questions without me needing to ask but let me ask the remainder. I am sure Mr Fern is just as good.

Afterwards at the Blue Bar huh. It is supposed to be a gorgeous day tomorrow so take your crutches and stroll on the fabulous beach afterwards.

    Good luck.
