    Debbie,

I think I have the right day (????), tomorrow isn't it? After all this time you should have some concrete answers. Best best wishes.

Let us know as soon as you can how you get on.

    Hugs.

    Hi Debbie,

As a starter I would ask for the PAO and THR seperately:

recovery - how long and help needed
mobility when recovered - sport, walking, living etc
    expected pain levels when recovered

for THR: expected length of time it will last before replacement

for PAO: will it prevent THR

    I hope this helps!!

    Good Luck

Good luck too Debbie. I'm not surprised you're so excited after all this time! Maybe you could also ask how long it could be between the two surgeries?

    Good luck!

OK so it's not technically a disability aid and while we're waiting for Debbie to update us (!) I have to tell you all about a fab new discovery ! On holiday at the moment in France and we hired bikes the other day (on a wee island that's very flat with lots of cycle paths) and I have to confess I was bit worried about keeping up with the other half who is a bit of a cyclist.... so we hired an electric battery assisted bike for me !! Just like a normal bike except it's got a battery that you can switch on and off as needed and you still pedal but it gives your pedalling an extra boost ! Fab. Like cycling with no resistance. Furthest I'd cycled until now on my exercise bike was 5k and yesterday we did about 10k with no problems to report today. Lovely to feel normal and like the hip isn't holding me back (even though it feels a bit like cheating !)

    Dee x
