    Hi!

I had my right THR on 26th, so about 9 days post-op now. This recovery is even easier than the last THR so far!! Only taking the blood thinner and paras at night now really. I'm icing a lot though, although there's hardly been any swelling. My knee was a bit sore for a couple of days, but it's fine now. My muscles get sore when I've been walking for a few minutes, and I have to use 2 crutches for 6 weeks anyway, so there's no rush to expect the muscles to be painfree. The original groin pain is gone - yipee!

I had OA on the femoral head, a large anterior labral tear, and dense scarring, with the rectus femoris stuck down. I also had some holes drilled into the non-union, to to try to make it heal - am keeping my fingers crossed. Maybe it will heal now, as post PAO I was non-WB, and now that I can fully weightbear (although with crutches), it might stimulate the bone to grow.

HC - I hope your surgery has gone well!

Wow! Sounds like you are doing amazing. Congrats on getting through your surgery. Only onwards and upwards from here. What an amazing difference from your previous surgeries, eh? I hope you are resting a lot and keeping the pain/inflammation under control.

My surgery is in three weeks. Just trying to get all I need done before I'm out of commission for a while.

Keep on updating and hope you continue to improve.
stressed is desserts spelled backwards...coincidence? I think not.

I see this interesting topic and wanted to say about it .Would guess the reason they are admitting you the night before is that they need to do bloods etc that have to be recent and if your first on the list. Which is your personal thinking about it share it on this page below .
