1. Start by standing on the edge of a step.

2. Step down on the injured leg (or leg you want to exercise)

3. Slowly take the knee down to a bend of about 90 degrees and keep the knee bent.

4. Put the other foot on the ground to share the weight

5. Lift the foot performing the eccentric exercise off the ground without straightening the knee.
